Animate Over Live Action!
Wow! What an incredible start to my year of freelancing! Every gig is so different and creatively exciting for me. Here is a frame of full fluid animation I recently finished for a live-action/ animated feature film (note the live action kid's body behind my animation-LOL), "The Tolltaker." It is a great film about the residual effects of a person going to war and how it affects their families back at home. Thanks for checking me out, and please check out the work of the crew on this film--especially the VERY talented director and animation director!

Let Them Drink Wine!
Continuing with the illustration gigs, I recently did a quick sketch in Flash for an online food and drink magazine, "The Heavy Table." The food looks so good on that site, I wanted to move to Minnesota, until I remembered how cold it gets there.

Babies, Babies Everywhere!
Most of my work is for hire, but recently, I have been asked by a few friends and family to produce animated e-card invites for their babies' birthdays. I love it!!! My first assignment was for a one-year-old boy, Kai. He needed a 'Tol' theme.
'Tol' has two meanings in Korean; the most common meaning is a child's first birthday. It can also be used as a generic description for birthdays: Chut-tol (first birthday), Du-tol (second birthday), Seo-tol (third birthday), etc. My second assignment was for a two-year-old girl (too cute) named Brooke. (Side note: I'm predicting my next baby e-card will be for a three-year-old. LOL.) Anyhow, these were a lot of fun to do!
